Ashlea Day has been chosen by the EA to represent Australia at the 2011 Young Rider World Cup Finals in Frankfurt, Germany in December this year. The US-based dressage rider will ride C.P. Perolus, the 14-year-old KWPN Warmblood (Junior STV x Lerola x Rossini) that she owns with her mother. Ashlea, who is 21 years old, trains with Silva Martin (the wife of Boyd Martin) in the US and upon hearing the news said, “I’m so excited, I can’t believe it.” Silva joked that since the announcement was so last minute, “it actually works in our favour. Now we only have to deal with Ashlea’s emotions and nervous breakdowns for a little while!” Good luck Ashlea!
