Davrol Warmbloods

Davrol Warmbloods principals, Perry and Kate Wilson, Toowoomba, were left speechless at the news that Hanoverian Horse Society Germany Vice-Chairman, Juergen Rump, thought their latest embryo transfer colt foal should be heading back to his parent’s homelands. In other words, predicting that he is destined for a professional stable in Germany!

Davrol Dancecard, by De Niro (Donnerhall / Akzent II) and out of the imported Hanoverian / Oldenburg mare Fidelity (Farewell III / Welt Hit II), was the star of the Australian 2012 Hanoverian Foal Licensing. With scores of 9 for walk, 9 for trot and 9.5 for overall impression it’s little surprise that he was selected as the Overall Champion Hanoverian Foal. As Herr Rump read the scores, he noted, “This is a very important horse” and was amazed that a horse of such calibre could be found in Australia.

Dancecard has been dubbed ‘Denis’ around the stables at Davrol, now Kate is hoping for a ‘Denise’!

In Davrol’s first year of foals being assessed through the Hanoverian Society, Davrol Diamante also received a ‘Highly Commended’ and Top 10 foal placing with Juergen commenting that this filly is “a very good horse” and of international quality. Diamante is an embryo transfer filly by De Niro and out of the imported mare Stefani (Swarovski / King Arthur). Two out of two ain’t bad!

As a competitor, Kate knows the importance of competing on horses that not only have the correct bio-mechanics to achieve success in the sport but also a willing temperament to learn all of the work involved through to the Grand Prix. For this reason, Davrol chooses to breed with top quality mares including their three imported competition mares as well as Australian-bred mares with superior movement and temperaments.
