They say good things come in twos and if you have ever met the Butcher twins, Dani and Greer, then you would certainly agree. This year the Twins have decided to expand their breeding operation with not one, but two, exciting young stallions. On a recent trip to Holland, Dani and her mother, Matina, discovered the brilliantly bred Easton. This elegant young stallion had been bred at the famous VDL stud as part of their own breeding program, and combines perhaps the best living Dutch stallion, Indoctro with the best living German stallion, Contender in an exciting package – and if you want to see him jump, just check out the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnC_cpwlAhQ&feature=youtu.be
The other new kid on the block is equally brilliantly bred – Twins Capulet Ego Z is rich in the blood that has made the modern Holsteiner jumper great: Capitol’s best son, Carthago, Cor de la Bryère (twice through his influential sons Calando and Caletto II) and Ramzes through his son, the legendary brood mare producer, Roman. Add to this, Grannus, the most successful Hanoverian jumping sire of modern times, and you have a genetic gold mine in a modern refined package.
The Twins have already assembled a select band of brood mares to give the new boys every chance to prove themselves. Easton and Capulet will be available in the coming season via frozen semen, with a live foal guarantee, at a very competitive introductory fee.
