Klausing Family

Discipline : Breeding

The Klausing family has been breeding Oldenburgers and Hanoverians since 1900. Today about 60 horses graze on the family property in Sankt Hülfe, Germany.

The historic Diepholzer Hof Klausing is not just a successful farm; they are also very successful breeders. One of the sons, Heiko Klausing is also an accomplished rider who trains the family’s youngstock at his yard in Scharrel/Eydelestdt and competes successfully in dressage.

At the 2014 Friedrich-Jahncke-Show of the Hanoverian Verband the family added another string of wins to their tally and won several prizes. Their 23-year-old dam, Wicke (Weltmeyer), her 15-year-old daughter Dynastie (De Niro/Weltmeyer) and granddaughter Fair Lady (Fürstenball) received a score of 8.6 and won the award for the best dressage family. Three generations of the Klausing family were represented in Hanover: Wilhelm Klausing (73), his son Willem (42) and grandson Justin (12).
