Shannan Makauskas and started riding her father’s racehorses as soon as she could walk. With a Bachelor of Journalism from Bond University and many successes in the Young Rider ranks, Shannan has regularly contributed to The Horse Magazine since 2009.

As the owner of Brisbane’s premier resale and consignment store, Designer Archives, Shannan indulges in her riding and writing hobbies in her spare time. Working with The Horse Magazine has given her the opportunity to watch, interview and take part in lessons with some of the World’s best trainers.
