Greg McDermott swapped the life of a professional shearer to travel to the newly established Bond Showjumping circuit in Western Australia, where he soon proved himself a force to be reckoned with. Greg represented Australia at the Seoul Olympics with Mr Shrimpton in 1988, and then at the World Cup final in 1990. Greg then took up the life of a racehorse trainer, although recently he has gone back to showjumping to manage the career of his prodigiously talented son, Tom.
