Who's Who

Wommelsdorf, Tina

Discipline : Dressage

Tina Wommelsdorf was one of the pioneers of dressage in Australia. She trained two horses to Grand Prix together with the help of Franz Mairinger who was then Australia’s first National Dressage Coach. She competed very successfully with both horses – but it was her second horse Jackpot, a NZ   bred Thoroughbred with whom she had the greatest success. At the first ever National Championships in Dressage, Adelaide EXPO 1974 she won the Inter 2 and Grand Prix and became Australia’s first National Dressage Champion.
