One year later she met the man who was to become her equestrian \u201cmentor\u201d: Manuel Jorge de Oliveira. Portugal became Anja\u2019s second equestrian home.<\/p>\n<p>She now runs her own yard at Gut Rosenhof located in Rudratsried, Bavaria. This has been Anja Beran\u2019s home since 2000, and since 2002 she has been running the Rosenhof yard independently. Meanwhile she works there with 45 horses \u2013 most of them stallions \u2013 from Germany as well as a variety of other countries.<\/p>\n<p>Her book <em>In Deference!<\/em> was published in 2005.\u2028A series of three films on DVD have also been produced in connection with the book and enjoy wide popularity.
