In the past it was Cor de la Bry\u00e8re providing the Gallic touch, now it is more likely to be Quidam de Revel. Thus the six-year-old champion is by Caspar \u2013 and who is Caspar? Our old friend Eurocommerce Berlin (Cassini I \/ Caretino), under his original name. Indeed on his pedigree, three of his great grandsires names begin with the letter, C, with only the Pilot son, Peter Pan, on the bottom line breaking sequence. The Don Frederico son, Don Henrico is the sire of the 11<sup>th<\/sup> placegetter (out of a Fishermans Friend mare).<\/p>\n<p>The Five-year-old class was won by a particular favorite of mine, DSP Belantis. The elegant grey is by Benetton Dream (Brentano II \/ Rotspon) out of the divine Philharmonie who is by the Holsteiner Expo\u2019se out Pirouette, who is by Sandro Hit out of Pamina. He is by Burlington who has been a star with German young rider, Charlott-Maria Sch\u00fcrmann. In 2012 (when the rider was just 19) they won the prestigious N\u00fcrnberger BurgPokal, and in 2014, the pair took out the under 25 Grand Prix K\u00fcr at Aachen. Burlington covered a few mares before taking up his full-time career as a competition horse, and Bodyguard, out of a Pik L mare, is one of the results. Bodyguard\u2019s grand sire, Breitling has been an astonishingly successful sire of Grand Prix dressage horses but his get tend to be a bit plain \u2013 Bodyguard, like his dad, is a good looking individual.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.horsemagazine.com\/thm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/BodyguardBurlington.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-12145 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.horsemagazine.com\/thm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/BodyguardBurlington.jpg\" alt=\"Bodyguard\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.horsemagazine.com\/thm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/BodyguardBurlington.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.horsemagazine.com\/thm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/BodyguardBurlington-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bodyguard, third in the five-year-old Dressage horse event<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Other stallions represented in the Five-year-old final are Quaterback (4<sup>th<\/sup> placegetter), F\u00fcrst Hohenstein (5<sup>th<\/sup>), Belissimo (7<sup>th<\/sup>), Zack (the Dutch invasion? Equitaris sold for a \u2018mere\u2019 \u20ac176,000 at the 2013 Hanoverian Elite Auction, but his blood is concentrated Westfalien. The stallion was bred by Stephan Borgmann who is very much his own man when it comes to selecting his bloodlines: \u201cI am not thinking like a lot of breeders today, only to the modern stallion star of this year, and next year we have the next star stallion\u2026 I know my mares for ten generations and I know what stallions I need for those mares.\u201d Indeed so far his own man, that he recently
