The showjumper, Pacavello is a new talent in the barn of German Hans-Dieter Dreher. Only four weeks after the horse arrived, the seven-year old won both qualifications of the Youngster Tour in Italy. Only one week later, he finished an introductory class of the Big Tour in third place and won a 1.45 meter-class in Salzburg.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat was a superb start. Everything is so easy with him,\u201d Hans-Dieter Dreher raves. \u201cPacavello is an abnormally good horse; he is careful and has a great disposition.\u201d Nonetheless, he is a little surprised about the fast success, \u201cEverything just fitted from the beginning, even though I do not even really know him yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
The son of Perigueux\/Claudio was born in East Frisia. \u201cWe discovered his dam, Kentucky by accident and bought her practically in the field,\u201d his breeders, Sabine and Stefan Gl\u00fcck remember. The family from Wiesmoor is devoted to jumping horses, even though daughter Delia prefers the dressage ring. Twenty horses live at the family-owned facility; five broodmares are registered. \u201cIt is actually only a hobby,\u201d Sabine Gl\u00fcck says. The pair manage a trading company with sheets of steel and roof panels when they are not having fun with their horses.<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Percy\u2019 was very playful. We knew right away that he needed to be in professional hands,\u201d Sabine Gl\u00fcck remembers.<\/p>\n
The bay went to his first shows with Dirk Visscher.<\/p>\n
Ricardas Vismeris from Lithuania presented Lucky\u2019s Please Jump, Percy\u2019s show name (Gl\u00fcck is the German word for luck), at the World Championships for young jumping horses in Lanaken in 2013. The pair participated in the Hanoverian Jumper Horse Championship in Verden in 2014. Karl-Heinz Markus, who regularly rides horses from Family Gl\u00fcck, presented the seven-year old one year later in such a fashion that the experts noticed him.<\/p>\n
Paul B\u00fccheler from Switzerland, a sponsor of Hans-Dieter Dreher bought the talent in June after arrangements with Norbert Stahl. Pacavello obtained his introduction to international com-etitions from Manuel Eugster from Switzerland. It became clear very quickly though that Pacavello is old enough and has so much quality: he is a horse for big competitions.<\/p>\n
When Hans-Dieter Dreher tested Pacavello in the summer, the chemistry was there right away. He felt very comfortable. Twelve weeks later, Pacavello moved to Eimeldingen and supports the already strong Hanoverian duo. Embassy II is undisputed number one. Hans-Dieter Dreher rides him from one success to the next. And then there is the nine-year old stallion Cornet\u2019s Adel.<\/p>\n
