I rode it just now like I\u2019m meant to ride and it was good to put the ball back onto the pitch. He\u2019s such a wonderful animal that the biggest danger is just us losing our concentration. After all we aren\u2019t robots and blips happen. Whether the course is tough or easy isn\u2019t an issue with a horse like Upsilon, it\u2019s just about switching our brains on.\u201d<\/em> Commented Tom after the Show Jumping.<\/p>\n<p>Upsilon is a Section 3 Anglo-Arab stallion, although it should be noted that Upsilon is out of an Anglo dam, but by the Holsteiner Canturo (Cantus \/ Calando I) Michael Jung&#8217;s Takinou is also a Part 3 Anglo Arab, although again, his sire is Jaguar Mail, Selle Fran\u00e7ais, but 80% Thoroughbred blood. Takinou&#8217;s dam is Anglo Arab and from a breeding program aimed squarely at producing eventers. We asked\u00a0Alain James, an international judge, and a supporter of the Anglo-Arab breed, to discuss Anglo-Arabs in Eventing. Alain is the president of the Anglo-Arab association:<\/p>\n<p><em>Do you think Anglo-Arabians will become more popular for modern\u00a0eventing?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of Anglo-Arabians have been very good in eventing for fifty years. Now let\u2019s have a horse adapted for the new eventing fashion, with paces \u2013 I think the new format is good for the Anglo-Arabian, more efforts with less distance. We need horses with good technique, good blood and a good mind. The Section 3, like Upsilon, or Takinou, are perfectly adapted for the new format. Christopher not only mastered the course but did it so elegantly and the Sandro Hit gelding can really gallop, eating the ground in perfect rhythm (perhaps Sandro Hit does have a place in the world of sport horse breeding after all!)
