Gerhard Kapitzke has studied the subject of the horse and his anatomy and behaviour at veterinary school and is a renowned expert on both, as well as a cavalry rider and now trainer based in Hannover. He is the author of several books, including The Bit and the Reins Developing Good Contact and Sensitive Hands, All About Ponies, You and Your Pony and several books about breeds and horse husbandry.
