Thomas Carlile was born and lives in France with his British parents.

In 2013 Thomas competed in the World Young Eventing Horse Championships, placing 1st in the Six-Year-Old event with his horse Tenareze, and 1st in the Seven-Year Old event with Sirocco De Gers.

Again in 2014 Thomas competed in the World Young Eventing Horse Championships, with Tenareze bringing home another 1st place position in the Seven-Year-Old event, as well as placing 5th with his other horse Upsilon in the Six-Year-Old.

Since then, Thomas has starred with the stallion Upsilon, winning Blenheim CIC*** in 2016, and then Barbury Castle CIC*** in 2017. Upsilon is by the Holsteiner, Canturo, but out of the Anglo Arab mare, Fusain du Defey, and he is the most popular stallion with Anglo Arab breeders in France.
