Meet Belissimo M and his most famous daughter

Belissimo has certainly been a major player in the revival of the ‘B’ line in German dressage breeding. In 2021 Belissimo is recorded with 1063 progeny in competition for winnings of €1,106,878. Eight have won more than €10,000, with Isabell Werth’s recently retired superstar, Bella Rose way out in front with €299,035. He has produced 130 horses with S level placings.

“Bella is always willing to go, sometimes she is a bit too much willing and she wants to do two things together, instead of waiting. She’s really motivated, and I have never the feeling that she is scared about something. She is so nice and polite, never would she kick or bite or whatever, she is so good and so proud, really a bit like a Queen.”
